Anthony G and his son Judd are known to almost all recruits and are a much-loved part of The Living Edge community.
Devastatingly, Judd recently received news that his Mum, Belinda has been diagnosed with MND.
On Monday 13th June, more than 50 The Living Edge community participated in a workout, followed by the ice bucket challenge, to raise money for MND and to show our love and support for both Judd and Anth. Our final total raised was an impressive $3,150. Thank you to all who donated, participated, purchased beanies and supported in any capacity!!

‘The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassion of its members’ (Coretta Scott King)
Each month one of our instructors or recruits will share their thoughts/ insights by responding to a series of questions. This month Jono Cannon is in the spotlight:
Favourite exercise
Squat Press/Thruster. Because it’s a Full body, naturally powerful movement that can overload both upper and lower body.
Least favourite exercise
Everyone’s least favourite: pike squats.
Put a Billboard anywhere in the world, where would you put it and what would it say
I’d put one at every freeway entrance Lane; and it would say “Merge like a zipper”.
Workout Karaoke song
A workout AND karaoke classic; a rare combo
“Don’t stop me now” by Queen
Cheat Meal –Either a very nice 48h proper Italian style pizza; or an aussie style bastardised local pizza shop one. Either are brilliant when the time is right.
Last book read/movie you saw
Book/audio – the subtle art of not giving a f@$k
Movie – no time to die
Hero/Inspiration
Roger Federer – prime example of a man with chinks in armour and game in the early stages of his career. But made the absolute most of his talent and drive. Ultimately turning himself in to the most professional, successful, respected and charming athlete of a generation; all the while competing against not only his greatest adversaries, but fellow athletes that many consider his equal or better. A hero to some. An idol to many (not just tennis fans). And the goat for most.
Motto
“Do what you can; while you can; as well as you can.” – Coach Cannon
The Living Edge OBC
….is a great bunch of people with an exercise/coffee problem.
Advice for your 20 year old self
Don’t take life too seriously; you’ll never get out alive.
I learned that I couldn’t guarantee success by bringing a good attitude… but I could almost guarantee failure with a bad one. Coach/Sarge Jono Cannon
