In general we have to celebrate the massive January had by all recruits – our community never ceases to amaze us! We had some huge numbers participate in the program and it was fantastic to see plenty of you involving the next generation. Sharing your fitness journey with those close to you, makes things all the more meaningful as you experience the highs and lows. TLE always welcome the ‘cadets’. #Unity!
We also had plenty of recruits participate in a range of events over the holiday period – great to see you set your mind to something and achieve your goals. No matter the set-backs you got it done and on behalf of the wider TLE Community we congratulate you! (Celebrating Wins, no matter how big or small is something we can all do better)
January also saw Sarge change things up a bit, setting a challenge with your mentor – sharing a word (or a few) to help drive you – Jess Santamaria’s “You got this” has always been a favourite and the crew look forward to hearing those catch cries out on the training field – feel free to get behind your mentor with it, it may just give them that extra push when they need it most. Dima – I am looking forward to you yelling out ‘Embrace It Stu!’
Lastly to Dave and Katrina – 17 years of changing peoples lives! Your ‘job’ of creating a space that welcomes any and all, whilst enabling people to grow in all aspects is an incredible thing to say you do for a living. This year, will be the best yet!
As we moved into 2024, speaking with many recruits about the recent publications in the newspaper around the state of our nation’s health, there was a consistent reaction and response, with this year being one many are focusing on themselves by:
‘Fit for Life’ has never been more important and this year we are looking forward to elevating with you – focusing on the pillars of the program, whilst ensuring we ignite you, lighting a spark to challenge yourself and embrace all the community and program has to offer.
Over the break, we read your feedback (THANK YOU!) and decided to think outside the box to find new ways to take our ‘Fit for Life’ ethos to the next level. We know there is an opportunity to empower our community every day:
It is truely an exciting time in our evolution and we look forward to what 2024 brings!
We all know that training in a group with like-minded people makes things just that little bit easier – however Bootcamp isn’t for everyone: be it physically or aligning with their health and wellness goals. ‘Fitness Fusion’ is a stand alone program perfect for those:
It is also a great inclusion to Bootcamp training for those looking for extra sessions/week without risking overtraining injuries.
Congratulations to the well deserved recipients of the award who contribute to the program on and off the field, not just in the last quarter of 2023, but have done so since joining ‘The Living Edge’ program:
Drinking plenty of water is something all of us can do better and the benefits are almost endless! Water has multiple functions within our body and whilst grabbing a cold soft-drink might give you some short-term satisfaction, it doesn’t provide the same level of benefits the old H2O gives us. We are incredibly lucky to live in a country where water is easily accessible, free and clean!
See the info-graphic for more information on all the benefits and consider some of the below to introduce more water into your day:
It’s easier said than done, our internal voice plays trick on us and is influenced by so many things. There is no formula to getting this right, however there are some small things we can do which can ‘train’ ourselves to have more of a growth mindset. We encourage all of you to share some of your learnings with your mentors and the wider ‘WhatsApp’ group as we can all learn more in relation to this.
Our community is the source of so much knowledge – let’s be proactive, collectively – not only does it make it easier to smash out a trail run, but also to smash your personal health goals!
Congratulations to January ‘Spirit of Bootcamp’ Award winners.
The nominations this month were thoughtful, caring and identified behaviours on and off the field!
Zara – Getting back into the program, it’s great to have Zara back in the grey.
Angela – While the city session took a break over January, Ange made an effort to drive to morning sessions at Wattle Park, making sure she got things done –
Hemal – Making an effort to keep involved in the group, Hemal goes over and above to share opportunities at his workplace. Taking a few moments as he ha done, may just be the gamechanger someone is looking for.
Brian – Making every session over the month of January and involvement in sessions has been consistent. He has set the tone for 2024.
Justin – His on and off field commitment to the program never waivers – it doesn’t go unnoticed.
Kresmir – Always up for a yarn, Kresmir makes it to sessions without fail and persist to prioritize his health.
